Grim ordeal of resident at Maraylya[5]

BECOMING alarmed by the non-appearance of Mr. Thomas Cobcroft (52), of Glenorie Road, Maraylya, to collect his supplies as usual, relatives went to his hut at about midday on Tuesday, and were horrified to find him lying, weak and helpless, with an extensive gash in his throat. The Hawkesbury Ambulance and Windsor police were summoned, and on arrival found that apparently the unfortunate man had lain in that condition for two or three days. He was still conscious, bat unable to speak, and the condition of the wound could not be described. After treatment by the Hawkesbury Ambulance he was conveyed to the District Hospital and admitted, in a serious condition, suffering from the wound, loss of blood, and severe shock.
