Joseph was born in 1853. He is the son of Friend Cochran and Catherine Johnson. [1]
From Edna Earle Sheets: "Uncle Joe stayed at the home place. As various ones [siblings] wanted to sell their farms, he bought them and since many had oil he became a very wealthy man."
