Biography
Jabez was born in Bank Top, Goolcar, 1819 & baptised Jabez Cock, 20 March 1819 Slaithwaite with East Scammonden, St James, Yorkshire, the son of Joseph Cock of Bank Top, Golcar. [1]
With brothers & father living in Bank Top, Golcar in 1841. [2]
Living in in Bank Top, Golcar, Yorkshire with widowed father Joseph, in 1851 where they farmed 19 acres. [3]
The marriage of Jabez Cook & Matilda Bradley was conducted on 1 July 1852, Huddersfield, Yorkshire. [4]
With wife Matilda & children in 1871 living in Bank Bottom, Golcar, Yorkshire. He was a farmer of 16 acres. [5]
He died in Bank Bottom, Golcar on 17 May 1873 [6] [7] & buried 22 May 1873 Slaithwaite with East Scammonden, St James, Yorkshire, Yorkshire,. [8]
