Cecily was the daughter of John Cockayne and Ida Grey. She married Edward FitzSimons[1] who died in 1400.[2] See research note on mothers profile.
In 1397, Nicholas FitzSimon and his wife, Elizabeth, granted to John and Ida the manor of Almesho. After John and Ida died, the manor was to remain with Edward, son of Nicholas and Elizabeth, and Cecily, his wife, and the heirs of their bodies.[3] The same people are named in two 1400 fines, by that time Edward was deceased.[4][5]
Edward and Cecily had two daughters: Elizabeth, who married William Asshe and Christine, wife of John Muslee.[6]
