Biography
William Cole, born 25 April 1653 at Middletown, Connecticut, was a son of Sarah (Rusco; abt.1626-1688) and Henry Cole (1615-1676) [1],[2].
William married 27 July 1688 at Wethersfield, Connecticut, Sarah (Conger) Cole (abt.1657-1742) [3]. Several children proceeded from this union, these of whom are documented:
- John Cole (28 March 1691 – 1761); married Mary Sanford
- Sarah Wadsworth Cole (14 October 1693 – 14 September 1780); married William Blanchard
- William Cole (15 Feb 1696 – 19 Feb 1772); married Experience Gaylord
- Samuel Cole (7 March 1698 – 1730); married Mary Scranton
- James Cole (7 March 1707 – 1803)
Notes
Surname of this family variously spelled Colles, Coll, Cull, Coall.
The cited Cole genealogy states the name of William's wife as Martha, which may be an error.
