I wonder if the Ruth Cole who married Daniel Crosby (b1705) was the one born in 1698 - His brother Samuel Crosby (b1692) married in 1717 a Ruth Cole (b1698) and he lived until 1756. It is possible she left Samuel and married his younger brother, but this may need more looking into.
