Thurs. 24 Apr 1834: James COLE one of the overseers of the poor in this county this day returned to court the names of Peggy STALCUP, Rachel STALCUP, Peter STALCUP, Harriet STALCUP, and Remember STALCUP, children of Elias STALCUP whose parents are in his opinion incapable of supporting them and bringing them up in honest courses, whereupon it is ordered that sd. James COLE bind out according to law the sd. Peggy, Rachel, and Peter STALCUP and [t]hat he take the care and management of sd. Harriet and Remember STALCUP, infant children of the sd. Elias STALCUP.
