Biography

Edith "Edy" Coleman was born about 1796 in Cocke County, Tennessee "Edee" Coleman, daughter of Spencer and Lucy, was baptized at the Big Pigeon Baptist Church in 1802. She is the daughter of Spencer Coleman and Lucinda White.

Sometime before her father's will was written in 1834, Edith Coleman married a Mr Timmons, Camron, work needed. In the 1830 Monroe Co, TN census, a Samuel H Timmons is enumerated with a female age 30-40. This would be appropriate for Edith Coleman Timmons, if that was her married name. There are 2 males age 20-30, 1 male 10-15, 1 female 5-10. And another household Barbara Timmons age 60-70, 1 female 30-40, 1 m under 5, 1 f 5-10, 1 f 10-15. It appears Barbara is living with a dau (or dau in law) and her children.

Some online trees have a death date of 1837 in Cleveland, Bradley County, Tennessee but no sources given. Needs more work.
