Biography
Robert was born about 1819 in South Carolina, USA. He is the son of Absolum Coleman and Martha Unknown. They both were born in South Carolina.
Named as heir in will of his father. See transcription under bio of Ab Coleman.
He is the father of Absolum Melton Coleman who in turn raised J Henson Coleman.
He also had a son named Joseph Abbie Coleman father of Emily Coleman Tanksley. Emily Coleman had a brother, Uncle Henson Coleman named after J Henson Coleman.
Emily Caroline Coleman married William Herbert Tanksley which gives me direct knowledge of this family and it lines.
