Basilisse was born at Île-Jésus on 24 July 1721, the daughter of Andre Colin and Jeanne Cadieu, and baptised at St-François-de-Sales two days later[1].
In January 1743 she married Jacques Barbe at Terrebonne[2]. Eight months later she gave birth to a daughter, Suzanne, but Basilisse must have died soon after as Jacques re-married in February 1746[3].
