Richard Collin was born circa 1839 to Richard Collin and Genevieve Bruyere.

Richard married Nancy Berland (daughter of Jean Baptiste Berland and Susanne McLeod Nepissing) at Fort des Prairie on 9 Dec 1858.

He passed away at Choteau, Teton County, Montana in Jul 1909.
