Biography

Mariah was born 29 September 1846 in Tyler County, Virginia.[1] She was the daughter of Thomas Conaway and Mahala Jane Smith.

She married Peter Ulysses Ash on 19 November 1868 in Tyler County in a ceremony performed by Edgar B. Blunden.[2]

Maria died on 30 December 1928 in Alma, Tyler County,[3] and she is buried in the Beechwood Cemetery in Alma.[4]
