Dorothy Condol was born about 1827 in Lyme, Connecticut. She was the child[1] of Cloe Webster and William Condol. Dorothy's paternal grandparents were of the Nehantic tribe.

Her daughter Mary's wedding to George Hamilton occurred on 30 April 1884, soon after Dorothy's death[2]. Dorothy was buried in Spring Grove Cemetery.[3]
