Mark Steven Coningsby said Jan 2007:-

Alfred Richard Coningsby d1916 and a black marble clock that stands in my nans farm house on a shelf on the stairs (it was he whom first owned the house). The clock was presented to him for a life-times dedication to the Village of Whaddon (cambs) its church and people, for his good deds and hosting the village fete on his farm. The village paid for it and presented it to him on his 80th Birthday (at yet another party he held for the village to celebrate his birthday on the farm). What was heart warming was that know one alaive today even knew where it came from, as my nan siad when i told her "well its always beed there, to too heavy to move as dust so i just dust around it, well i never!!!"
