James Albert was born the first quarter of 1888 in Portadown, Lurgan, Ireland to John Conn and Maria McCullough [1]
He married Agnes Devlin in the 3rd Quarter of 1908 in Belfast. [2]
James was enumerated in the 1911 Ireland Census living in 193 Conway St., Wood Vale Ward, Labourer, aged 23, CofE, read and write, speaks Irish and English. [3]
In 1914, James enlisted in the Royal Irish Rifles, No.2/7450 as a rifleman. He was discharged 23 Jan 1915 with a gunshot wound to the left elbow and granted a disability pension.[4]
James died 23 Jul 1920 Killed during the Irish uprising. "James A. Conn of 47 James St. - Protestant". [5][6]
