Biography
John was born in 1778, possibly in Frederick, Maryland. [1]. He lived near Conewago, Penn in the 1800s-1820s, as he married at Conewago Chapel in 1805 and his children were baptized at Conewago Chapel.
He passed away in 1832.[2]Buried in Saint Michael Cemetery, Cambria county, Pennsylvania.

His wife Mary Maria, also know as Mary Martha, died in 1823, shortly after giving birth to her 11th child. “After Mary Martha’s death, John Kunrat moved his entire family to Loretto. Between Conewago and Loretto his name was Americanized to Conrad.” [3] John remarried to Catherine Adelsberger in 1827.
