Jacob Coonce was born in 1767 in Pennsylvania, his father, Nicholas, was 42, and his mother, Mary, was 19. He married Mary Maria Bell on October 27, 1790, in Jefferson, Kentucky. They had 13 children in 33 years. He died in St. Charles, Missouri. He settled in St. Charles County, Missouri in 1797.
Jacob was married at least twice. His first three children were born before his marriage to Maria Bell; their mother is unknown.
His first child was listed as being born in Kentucky in 1787, so we know Jacob was in Kentucky by then at the age of 20.
He was still in Kentucky in October 1790 when he married Maria Bell. I find a Jacob Coons in the 1790 Kentucky census in Woodford County. Woodford County is only a few counties from Jefferson County, where he was married.
Missouri History records Jacob migrating to St. Charles County, Missouri, in 1797.
His son Nicholas was recorded as being born in about 1800 in Missouri.
In the 1789 census, Nicholas was in Jefferson, Kentucky.[1]
Mary married Jacob Coons on 27 October 1790 in Jefferson, Kentucky, United States.[2]
The Nicholas was in a tax record in 1800 in Jefferson.

Name: Nicholas Coons; Residence County: Jefferson; Residence Year: 1800.
This is questionable as he was supposed to be in Missouri by 1797.
