- John and Susan died close together and are the first to be buried in the Smith Cemetery, Havana, Yell County, Arkansas on the family homestead.
- Some believe his father is George Frederick Cooper (b 1759 in PA to d 1841 in KY), however, George Frederick Cooper's Will clearly identifies his son John Cooper as deceased before 1841. (Link to Transcription posted below)

Cooper-32320 and Cooper-15722 appear to represent the same person because: Could this be the same person, with same exact birthdate and place, or is that a mistake for one of them? It's not unusual for a man to have more than one wife in those days.... Needs research.
