Walter was born about 1873. He was the son of William Cooper and Elizabeth Harris.[1][2]
Walter Ernest Cooper married Mary Ann O'Loughlin in 1900 in Victoria[3] (Mary Ann passed away in 1934)
He passed away in 1945 aged about 73 years.[4]
Death report: The Herald (Melbourne, Vic. : 1861 - 1954) Thu 4 Oct 1945 - MASTER BUILDER KILLED BY TRUCK. Struck In St. Kilda Road on Tuesday night by a truck which allegedly failed to stop. Mr Walter Ernest Cooper, 73, retired master builder, of Murphy Street, South Yarra. died in Prince Henry's Hospital early today. Mr Cooper, who was a widower, was associated with the construction of several of Melbourne's more modern buildings. Including 'the Manchester Unity Building, Swanston Street. South Melbourne C.I.B. are investigating the occurrence.[5]

Walter is buried in the St Kilda Cemetery - Roman Catholic section, compartment B, grave 497A. Burial date 5 October 1945.[7]

Robert O'Loughlan Cooper son died 8/8/1984 and buried 13/8/1984 in Compartment B grave 497A
