Biography

Vincent was born about 1642 ^{[1] [2]} , son of the Royalist Sir Vincent Corbet of Moreton Corbet, Shropshire, and Sarah Monson of Carleton, Lincolnshire ^[3].

Vincent was a student at Lincoln Inn and became a barrister. ^[4] He married Elizabeth Thornes. ^[5]

Vincent and Elizabeth baptized at St Bartholomew in Moreton Corbet, Shropshire:

• daughter Beatrice 4 December 1668 ^[5][6]
• son Vincent 22 May 1670 ^[7]
• son Andrew, 7 August 1671 in Shawbury, Shropshire ^[8]
• son Francis 27 December 1672 (born 8 December 1672) ^[9]

Transcriptions of the Moreton Corbet parish register indicate that Vincent was a Knight and Baronet. ^{[10] [11]}

Vincent died of small pox in London ^[5] 4 February 1681 ^[1] and was buried 24 February 1681 ^[12] in St Bartholomew's Churchyard, Moreton Corbet, Shropshire.

The family history records some inconsistent dates as follows:

• son Vincent's baptism in August 1670 ^[5]
• son Francis baptism in June 1672 ^[5]

Son Andrew was buried February 6 February 1671 ^[5] or 1672 ^[13].

Son Francis was buried 10 August 1673. ^[14]

Another son Robert died in London 24 May 1678 and was buried 7 June. ^[4]
