Biography

F. Smith Cornell was born August 28, 1846 in Chatham, Tioga county, Pennsylvania. He was a son of Socrates and Fanny Short Cornell. He married Rosilla Taggart on July 1, 1866, and they lived most of their lives in Troupsburg, Steuben county, New York. He died of apoplexy (i.e., stroke) on January 4, 1917 in Harrison, Potter county, Pennsylvania. He is buried at Whites Corners Cemetery.
