Biography

Albert Edward Cottle was born on 12 March 1887. He was the son of Albert William Cottle and Selina Caroline Simpson.

His mother Selina died on 23 October 1888 at about age 24.

Albert married Sarah Kennerly in 1912.

They went on to have at least four sons:

  1. Leslie James “Les” Cottle (b. 26 Nov 1913, d. 26 Mar 1988)
  2. Frank Albert Cottle (b. 2 Sep 1915, d. 11 Apr 2003)
  3. Edward Clive Cottle (b. 19 Dec 1921, d. 15 Jul 1983)
  4. Laurence Stanley “Stan” Cottle (b. 12 Jul 1923, d. 6 Jul 2010)

His wife Sarah died in 1943.

He married, secondly, Gladys Pearl Babe in 1945.

Albert passed away on 28 November 1962 and was buried on 29 November 1962 at Papatoetoe Cemetery, Papatoetoe, Auckland Council, Auckland, New Zealand[1][2]. PLOT: Other Religions Row G Plot 113
