Notes
Note N1
Came to Australia possibly around 1842 acording to Janes death certificate
Francis Thomas Couch (b 1790 Lostwithiel, Cornwall, died June 1884, Hotham, Victoria). Lostwithiel is the main village near Couch’s Mill. This apparently indefatigable man was a farmer at Banagher, Kings County, Ireland when he married in 1822, and lived to be 94. His wife was a woman named Jane Rennard (b 1803, Co Galway, Ireland, d 1856 Melbourne, Victoria, Australia). This surname was anglicised to Fox, either in Ireland or Australia, probably the former. They arrived in Port Phillip with their six children (two boys, four girls) on the ship Frances on 29 November 1841
According to the ships record Franks age on the 28 November 1841 is 38 and Jane's is 36 which means he may have lied about his age or 1790 is not his birth year
Therefor Jane was 41 when she emmigrated

There is no Francis Thomas or Thomas Francis Couch born in Lostwithiel in 1890 - he was born in Ireland and not the son of John Couch (b.1766) and Nancy of Lostwithiel, Cornwall. They are a completely different family. Evidence can be supplied if requested. Best wishes, Sarah
