Archibald arrived in 1822 in Nova Scotia^[1]

In the 1861 census Archd was the head of household in Cumberland, Nova Scotia.^[2]

In the 1871 census Archibald (age 86), Farmer, was recorded as widowed in Pugwash, Cumberland, Nova Scotia. He is living with his youngest son Daniel and Daniel's family.^[3]

Colter (2 males, 1 female); 2)John Colter (2 males, 3 females); 3)Archibald Colter Jr. (3 males, 1 female); 4)Archibald Colter (1 male, 1 female); 5)Daniel Colter (2 males, 3 females); 6)Patrick Colter ((4 males, 7 females); and 7)Andrew Colter (4 males, 2 females). I believe they are all related. I think Archibald Sr. and his sons Archibald, Daniel, Patrick, and Andrew for sure but suspect that Chas and John are either Archibald's brothers or nephews. Need to prove.
