Biography

Emily (Courtney) Slack was born in Middlesex, England.

Emily Courtney was born 1828. She was the daughter of George Courtney and Louisa unknown. Emily was baptised on 12th November 1828 at Saint Mark, Kennington, London. ^[1]

In 1851. Emily was residing with her parents in Bedford South, Liverpool, Lancashire. She was a 22-year-old single woman. Her father was an agent. ^[2]

On 2nd February 1858, a marriage notice was published in the Sussex Advertiser. It confirms Emily's father and also her spouse's full name. ^[3]

In 1858, Emily married John Slack. The marriage was registered in Shoreditch, London. ^[4]

In 1871, Emily was noted as married, but she was seen living staying with her sister and mother in Hammersmith, Middlesex. She was 42-years-old. ^[5]

Emily passed away in 1917.^[6]
