Frederick was born on April 10, 1895 in Durham Bridge, New Brunswick. He was a son of James Luther Cowperthwaite and Gertrude Elizabeth (Miller) Cowperthwaite.[1]
He was drafted into the military on October 20, 1917 in Fredericton and served with the 1st Depot Battalion (New Brunswick) for the remainder of the First World War before being discharged on January 16, 1919.[2]
In 1929, he lived in Fredericton and was working as a Salesman.[3]
He married Minnie Ellen Hodgson on June 1, 1929 in Fredericton. She was a daughter of William Hodgson and Ada (Daniels) Hodgson.[3]
Frederick passed away in 1979. He was interred at the Fredericton Rural Cemetery.[4][5]
