Richard “Dale” Cox, 54
NEW CUMBERLAND – Richard “Dale” Cox, 54, of New Cumberland, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born Nov. 14, 1960 in East Liverpool, Ohio; he was the son of George and Nancy (Freeland) Cox of New Cumberland.
Dale graduated in 1979 from Oak Glen High School. He worked for 16 years at AES Power and he last worked at Ergon in the maintenance Dept.
He was an avid hunter, ATV rider, antique tractor enthusiast, and a Dallas Cowboy fan.
In addition to his parents, surviving are his wife, Patty (Tustin) Cox of New Cumberland; a daughter, Pegan (Nicholas) McGinley of Dayton; a son, Jacob “Jake” Cox of New Cumberland; two sisters, Robin (Joe) Bahen of Newell, and Lisa Cox of Newell; and also his canine companion “Buddy”.
Visitation will be held today, Feb. 5, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the Nixon Funeral Home in Newell, W. Va. Where the funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 6, 2015. Burial will follow at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens, Newell, W.Va.
