Mary (Cox) Allen was born in Staffordshire, England.

Mary was born about 1833 and baptised in on 27 Feb 1833[1]

In 1851 she lis living with her parents and siblings in Burton upon Trent[2]

she marries James Allen in 1860 in Burton upon Trent at St Modwen by Licence. [3]

They are living in Burton upon Trent in 1861 - the couple have a live in servant. [4]

In 1891 Mary Mansfild is a visitor to the household this is Jame's (half) sister. She is widowed.[5]

The couple have four children. In 1911, Frederick Allen has died, the three other children are living, 2 at home with Mary, she is now aged 78 in Branstone Road [6]

She passed away in 1917[7][8]
