Reginald Joseph Francis Cox was born 12th July 1906 at Echuca, Victoria, the son of Joseph Cox and Ella Rose Turner. ^[1]

Marriage. In 1928, he married Dulcie Rita Bruton, in Victoria. ^[2]

Military Service (1940-1941). Aircraftman 1, Royal Australian Air Force. He was discharged due to being medically unfit, due to a peptic ulcer which, from the description of his past symptoms, had predated his service by about seven years. At the time of his enlistment, Reginald was a motor mechanic at a Strathmerton garage. ^[3]
