OBITUARY
Mrs. Ann Hay
The death occurred on Monday last at the Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Canowindra, of Mrs. Ann Hay, aged 79 years. The late Mrs. Hay had lived in the district most of her life. In her early life she resided at Cudal and Cranbury and later went to Canowindra. Until two months ago the late Mrs. Hay lived with her daughter, Mrs. McIntyre, of Canowindra, and then she took up residence with another daughter, Mrs. Burke. Her late husband, Mr. Geo. James Hay, predeceased her 17 years ago. With seven children to care for, the late Mrs. Hay was a devoted mother, her main interest always being the welfare of the family. Left to mourn their loss are five daughters and two sons: Mrs. Elbourn and Mr. James Hay, of Eugowra; Mrs. Lennon, of Glebe; Mr. Alfred Hay, of apto; Mrs. McIntyre, of Goolagong; Mrs. Burke, Canowindra; and Mrs. Ivers, of Orange. The funeral took place on Tuesday, the remains being laid to rest in the Church of England portion of Canowindra cemetery.
