Served in the 8th Company of the 11th Regiment of the Connecticut Militia; Achieved the rank of Captain which was appointed in 1833 by Connecticut Governor Foot.

Trenck Crawford was born as French Crawford^[1] on February 23, 1801 in Union, Connecticut and his parents were John Crawford and Susanna Hayward.^[2][3][4]
