• Born Edwin George Croft but changed his name to Clews.^[1]
• Son of Edwin Croft & Emma Hart^[2]

• Father of Mary Aurelia (Delia) Clews^[5][6] and Laura Clews^[7]
• He emigrated to Canada to go prospecting. Returned to England in 1910 to see Winifred and Ivy Farmer then returned to Canada for good. He joined the Canadian Railway riding "Shot Gun" and as a Detective. He won Gold and Silver Medals as a Sharpshooter - the Silver Medal was bequeathed to Colin Tredwell by

Winifred Farmer on her death. Unfortunately the Medal was stolen in a burglary.^[4] SW3 in 1976.
