Andrew was born 18 Sep 1889. He was the son of Joseph Crooks/Cahoon and Eliza Jane Cahoon. (His father went by the name "Joseph Cahoon", although his legal name was Crooks). [1]
On 30 Aug 1913 at St. Luran's Church, Cookstown, he married Mary Perry of Cookstown, daughter of William Perry, labourer. [2]
He passed away 27 November 1983 "age 95" (actually 94), at his daughter Martha Fields' residence, 17 Dunnabraggy Road; late of Ballybriest. His children were Elizabeth, Thomas, Joseph, Jean, William, Madge, Martha, Nathaniel, Ellen and Mabel. The chief mourners at the funeral were: [3] [4]
In 1969 there is a photo of Andrew Cahoon becoming W.M. of Ballybriest L.O.L. Number 356. The same lodge is referenced in his obituary, but not sure 100% if it's the same Andrew, or another Andrew Cahoon.
