Adelaide (Crooks) Sutcliffe was born in Yorkshire, England.

Adelaide (Crooks) Sutcliffe migrated from England to Australia in 1921.

Adelaide was born in 1887. She was the daughter of Henry Crooks and Annie Brow. ^[1]

On 26 August 1909 at St. Martin's Church, Potternewton, Leeds; she married William Nelson Sutcliffe (1886-) , a draper's assistant. ^[2]

In 1911 they had a baby boy, Kenneth Sutcliffe (1911-).

On 26 May 1921 she and Kenneth (age 10) sailed to Australia aboard the Beltana. Their address had been 15 Livingston Terrace, Roundhay Rd, Leeds. ^[3]

In July 1922 at Sydney, a warrant was issued for her husband's arrest on grounds of desertion; he was supposed to have gone to Queensland. ^[4]

They divorced in 1927 in Victoria, Australia. ^[5]

She and Kenneth may have returned to Yorkshire by 1933. ^[6]
