Biography

NOBLE CROPPER, son of Bela Cropper (Sr.), was born 26 February 1778 in Worcester County, Maryland. He had a brother, Bela Cropper (Jr.).[1]

Noble Cropper and Alexander Foster signed a marriage bond on 14 September 1802 for the marriage between Noble Cropper and Nancy Foster, foster daughter of Alexander Foster.[2]

Alexander Foster, a Revolutionary War veteran from Pennsylvania resided in Rockbridge County, Virginia before going to Kentucky, then onto Montgomery County, Indiana where he died in 1843.

Given Children of Noble Cropper & Nancy Foster:

1. Elizabeth M. Cropper married Benjamin Franklin Browning on 13 December 1831 in Henry County, Kentucky.[3]

The Croppers were from Worcester Co., Maryland, where land records indicate that Bela Cropper, Snr's. wife may have had the maiden name Cathell (various spellings). Noble Cropper's daughter, Elizabeth M. Cropper, married Benjamin Franklin Browning on 13 Dec 1831 in Henry Co., KY.
