Biography

Rebecca was born Feb 17, 1779, the daughter of Edward Crosby and Rebecca Elwell of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia^{[1] [2]}

She married Samuel Harris, son of David Harris and Elizabeth Corning, as his second wife^[1]. It is not clear which, if she was the mother of any of Samuel Harris' children noted in these sources.

Online family trees give her as the mother of at least one of Samuel Harris' children, who is/are both older and younger than the children attributed for the first wife. Its possible that a mistake about the younger children is being transmitted, or that some of the middle children gave their step-mother's name in the records.
