John Crow first married about 1773 in Virginia to Elizabeth Simmons. ^[2]

On 13 May 1783, Elizabeth and Henry Brown of King and Queen County, Virginia sold to John Crow of Mecklenburg County, Virginia, 176 acres of land adjoining the Reedy Branch of Samuel Simmons, one of the witnesses. ^[3]

John Crow married secondly on 28 Dec 1802 Mecklenburg County, Virginia, USA to Martha Easter. ^{[4] [5]}

He was involved in a court action on 08 Oct 1798 in Mecklenburg County, Virginia, USA. Petition of John Simmons for benefit of Leonard Smithson against John Smith and John Crow for debt due by note of hand. John Crow summoned, but not appearing, Court finds for Plaintiff. Suit abates as to Smith, being returned, no inhabitant [of the County]

In 1805 he was involved in 2 court actions in Mecklenburg County, Virginia, USA ...

- John Crow and others were sued for fraud, stemming from a 1799 debt to Noah Dortch. ^[6]

- John Crow was sued by his children for selling slaves that should have descended to them by right of their deceased mother. ^[7]

He passed away in July 1812.
