Martin Crowe was born in Ireland.

Martin was born 14 September 1893, in Ballyvislane, County Clare, Ireland. He was the son of Michael Crowe and Mary Kelly. [1]

Mary Kelly Crowe died between 1896, birth of last child, and 1901, not listed in census.

In 1901, the family is living in Kilshanny, County Clare, Ireland. [2] Michael, age 63, Head Michael, age 17, son Austin, age 14, son William, age 11, son Martin, age 7, son

In 1908, Martin emigrated to Massachusetts, with his brother William. [3] In 1910, Martin (age 14) was living with his brother John in Malden, Massachusetts. [4]

On 22 February 1916, in Malden, Masschusetts, Martin married Mary Sammon, daughter of Morris Sammon and Mary Long. [5]

Martin (age 27) completed the World War 1 draft registration in Jun 1917. It states he is married with a 5 month old child, and that he has filed first papers to beoming a citizen. [6]

In the 1920 census, Martin (age 25), his wife Mary (age 25), their sons Martin F Jr. (age 3), and John J (age 6 months), were living at 12 Mason Street in Malden, Massachusetts. [7]

Martin became a naturalized U.S. Citizen on 7 July 1924. [8]

In the 1930 census, Martin (age 37), his wife Mary (age 34), their sons Martin F Jr. (age 13), and John J (age 10), daughter Mary E (age 8), and son Walter E (age 4) were living at 109 Russell St in Malden, Massachusetts. [9]


In the 1930 census, Martin (age 46), his wife Mary (age 45), their sons Martin F Jr. (age 23), and John J (age 20), daughter Mary E (age 18), and son Walter E (age 14) were living at 25 Julia Street in Malden, Massachusetts. [10]

In 1942, Martin filled out the World War 2 Draft Registration card. [11]

He passed away 6 August 1959, age 66. [12] His obituary was published 8 August 1959.
