Biography

Louisa (Crowell) Whittaker was born in the Colony of South Australia (1836-1900)

Louisa Crowell was born on 11 October 1859 at Charleston, South Australia. She was the daughter of John and Eliza (nee Headland) Crowell.[1]

She married George Pike Dowling Whittaker at the residence of Mrs. Crowell at Cunningham, South Australia on 25 May 1880.[2]

George had selected land at Dowlingville in 1876.

George and Louisa had sixteen children:[3]

  6. George Pyke Dowling Whittaker, 10 November 1887 - 29 July 1936 Kadina, married Euphenia (Effie) Alice Walker

She died at Firle on 27 November 1927 and was buried at Price.[4]
