Biography

Amabel Irene Maria Cruickshank, daughter of the Reverend Edward Robert Cruickshank and his wife, Amelia Tyssen, was baptised at St Augustine in South Hackney on 30 January 1881 ^[1] presumably by her father who was the Vicar.^[2]

Her father died on 5 November 1890 while they were living at Brighton in Sussex. ^[3]He was buried near his father at St Mark in Alverstoke ^[4] and Amelia Cruickshank settled with her children in the village. ^[5]

In 1905 at Alverstoke Amabel married William Guise Tucker, ^[6] son of William Guise Tucker of the Royal Marine Artillery and his wife, Elizabeth Dent. Their only child, another WIlliam Guise Tucker, was born in 1907 and in 1911 they were living quite comfortably at Gillingham in Kent.^[7]

Amabel died 17 July 1948. ^[8]
