Biography

Guy Franklin Cupitt was born on 26 February 1895 in Windsor, New South Wales, Australia [1], the son of Edward James Cupitt and Elizabeth Ellen Bushell and his siblings were Nelson Edwin Cupitt (1884-1964), Wallace Edgar Cupitt (1885-1907), Isyetta Isabel Cupitt (1887-1889), Nellie Elizabeth Cupitt (1888-1959), Ruby Kezia (Cupitt) Parish (1889-1967), Minnie (Cupitt) Bamkin (1891-1937) and Madoline Ambrosine (Cupitt) Sims (1893-1969).

Guy enlisted for Military Service World War One service on 1 May 1916 at the Manilla Enlistment Depot, New South Wales [2]. He served in the Armidale Depot Battalion Unit before being discharged as Medically Unfit on 11 August 1916.

He married Lilian Frances Eggleton on 8 November 1922 at Paddington, New South Wales, Australia [3].

Guy died on 4 November 1964 in Burwood, New South Wales, Australia [4] and was buried in the Saint Matthew's Anglican Church Cemetery, Windsor, New South Wales, Australia [5].
