Mr. and Mrs. Scott Curlee entertained at a dinner Sunday honoring their son, Clyde, who has just completed seventeen weeks of basic training at Camp Blanding, Fla.
Spring flowers were arranged in the living and dining room, where three large tables were placed.
Covers were laid for the following children and grand children: Pvt. and Mrs Clyde Curlee, Mr and Mrs. Stanley Crisp and daughter, Jo Ann and Nancy; Mr. and Mrs. Frie Torrence and children, Scott, Beckey and Andy; Mr. and Mrs. Curly Queen and daughters, Kay Frances and Joan; Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Craig and children, Duggie and Mitzie; Mrs. Helen Curlee Eller and Miss Jesse Faye Curlee.
All the children of Mr. and Mrs. Curlee were present with the exception of Mrs. Roy Palmer and family of Atlanta, Ga.

Death Claims F.S. Curlee; Rites Sunday
Finley Scott Curlee, 70, of 103 Virginia Street, retired farmer and grocery store operator, died at his home at 6:30 o'clock on Friday night. He had been in failing health for the last few months.
Funeral services will be conducted at Central Advent Christian church at three o'clock on Sunday afternoon. Officiating ministers will be the Rev. W.F. Preslar, pastor of the church, and the Rev. S.E. Gragg, Advent Christian ministers of Shulls Mills. Burial will be in Belleview cemetery here.
A native of this county, Mr. Curlee was the son of the late J.C. Curlee and Sallie Harris Curlee.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mittie A. McGalliard Torrence Curlee, four daughters, Mrs. Ralph Queen, Mrs. Spencer Craig, Mrs. Roy Eller, and Mrs. John Jaynes, all of Lenoir; two step-daughters, Mrs. Stanley E. Crisp of Lenoir and Mrs. Roy Palmer of Atlanta, Ga.; a step-son, A. Frie Torrence; two sisters, Mrs. John McMillan and Lettie Hall; eight grandchildren and 11 step-grandchildren.
The body was removed to the late residence this afternoon from Lenoir Funeral Home.
