John James Curtis was born in 1899 in New Brunswick, Canada, son of William Levi Curtis (1871– ) and Mary Alexander (1858–1928).

His siblings were:

In 1911, Jack (11) was living in Northumberland with his parents, Mary (undefined) and Mary Barry (undefined); his siblings, Margret Schultz (undefined), William (undefined), and William (undefined); and John Curtis (undefined). [1]

Jack (18) married Serena Jane Miller in Kent, New Brunswick, Canada on 21 Aug 1918.[2]

Jack (44) married Violet May McKinnon (45) (born on 18 Dec 1898 in Wood Point, Sackville, Westmorland, New Brunswick; daughter of Hector Almond McKinnon and Jemima Clare Snowden) on 21 Mar 1944 in Moncton, Westmorland.[3]

Jack died in 1963 in Sackville, Westmorland County, New Brunswick, aged 63.[4] [5] He was buried in Sackville Rural Cemetery, Sackville, New Brunswick.
