Oscar F. Curtis was born at Boxford, Massachusetts on January 2, 1839, son of Francis and Lorintha (Davis) Curtis. [1] [2]

He died in Washington, DC on June 8, 1864 of wounds suffered in the Battle of Spottsylvania. [2] [3]
