THEIF CAUSES MRS. DOBSON TO COLLAPSE

BEDFORD, Ind., March 23.

(Spl.) Mrs. Louis Raub Dobson, widow of the late Louis Raub Dobson, who died in a Martinsville sanitarium last week after taking poison, is in a state of collapse at her home here today following an attempted holdup last night.

Mrs. Dobson left her home at 18th and N. streets here last night to pay her last respects to Mrs. Susan Spicer Frank, who died recently. The body was lying in state at the residence of Roy Carter on 18th street. As Mrs. Dobson went down the street she noticed a man following her.

Just as she reached the porch of the Carter home, the robber thrust a gun into her back and commanded that she give him her handbag. She was stunned for a moment or two, and the man threw a light on the gun to prove his statement he was armed.

Mrs. Dobson screamed, bringing those inside the Carter home to her aid. The man fled down the street. He had not been apprehended today. A subsequent police investigation disclosed that the same man had obtained $2 from H.B. Cantrell in a holdup on 21st street a short time before.

Mrs. Dobson, in a highly nervous condition over the tragedy which visited her home last week, collapsed, and was taken to her home. She was under the care of a physician today."
