Note: Different authors disagree on who Mary's parents are:
Mary was married to Capt. Thomas Smith on 9 May 1701 in Massachusetts.
Mary's death date has been given as 27 July 1716, Boston, Massachusetts Bay colony.

"--marriage Mary Curwen, daughter of John Curwen and Margaret Winthrop, bap. Sept. 16, 1676, married Capt. Thomas Smith. Col. Samuel... [1]
The Corwin Genealogy in the United States [1]says that Mary was probably the daughter of Samuel Curwin of Essex:
- "Mary [Samuel, I] born about 1660-1680, perhaps M. Thomas Smith May 9th, 1701. Mary's name is written Curwin, Corwine, Corwin and Curran."[2]
Many online trees indicate that Mary was the daughter of George Corwin and Susannah Gidney
