Biography

Sarah Martha Cuthbertson, the daughter of William Cuthbertson and Rachel Montieth, was born in 1768 in Pennsylvania and died in 1862 in North Carolina. [1]

There is a record of Sarah's baptism in the Middle Octoraro Society, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, record of Reverend Cuthbertson, parents Mr. & Mrs, John Cuthbertson, that may or may not be this Sarah.[2]

Sarah married Benjamin Wise 29 July 1794 in Mecklenburg, North Carolina.[3] Benjamin died in 1855, and on the 1860 census she was living with their son William Cuthbertson Wise and his family.[4]
