Modeste was born Jan 14, 1843, the daughter of Hilaire Cyr, a farmer from Ste-Luce, and Judith Lisotte. She was baptised the following day by Ptre N. Dionne, P&M Vital Cyr et Flavie Hébert. The record (transcription) is found (with many other Ste-Luce records) in the St-Basile parish records. [1]
