Joseph Dabinett son of James Dabinett and his wife, Mary Walden, was born on the 16th of July 1800 and was baptised at Barrington in Somerset on the 4th of May 1802.[1]
At Beaminster in Dorset on the 27th of January 1818 he married Elizabeth Lawrence. [2]
In 1858 he married Louisa Sterney,daughter of Samuel West and widow of Amos Sturney. [3][4] They lived at Gaunt's common with Edward Sturney, Louisa's 9 year old son. [5]
Joseph was a little over 5ft 4 inches tall with brown hair and blue eyes, going grey when he was admitted to prison at Dorchester on a charge of leaving his family. [6].
Joseph died in 1867, aged 67. [7]
