Biography

Walter was born about 1834 the son of Adam Dalgliesh and Elizabeth Tod. He passed away in 1913. He was a Ploughman at Yair in 1861, later a Grocer in Galashiels from 1881 and Joint Tenant of a Farm in later life.

The surname was Dalgliesh on birth, marriage and death records, but sometimes written as Dalgleish in other records, like the Confirmation of Estate
